Lizzie Kate for Carol

Carol sent me the most wonderful email letting me know she
had received her HOE Lizzie Kate exchange from me. She could
not believe this was my first box type finish.

Lizzie Kate- "winter wishes"
Stitched on 28 ct hand dyed (by me) monaco
with dmc, sampler, & wdw threads, & a snowflake button

Here is the inside of the wooden box. First I mounted
batting onto cardboard, then covered it with this snowman
fabric. Which is really sparkly, click on photo for a closer
view.

The enitre exchange, including the goodies. I made the
little snowman tissue holder! I like to give them as gifts.
They are so handy. I don't know about you but I'm always
in need of a kleenex when I'm out and about!

I am currently putting the finishes touches on a
winter ornie for the ASOE...so stay tuned!
Thanks for visiting!

Laurie,

I saw this posted on Carol's blog, and I think it's so cute! Where did you find the instructions for finishing the box? I've wanted to finish this way for a while, and I'm not sure how to do it.

Great job!

Laurie! Girl! You did a fantabulous job on your box finish. No way it's your first. :) Your stitching is perfection, too. Great exchange, and after reading Carol's post, she loved it all. Lucky girl!
